Episode 49 - Mental Illness - The Unwarranted Scapegoat of Mass Shootings
Hey everyone, Sean's back!
With all of the recent mass shootings, we felt it was our responsibility to do as we'd promised in the beginning of this project - work to mental health stigma. With that being said, there was no way we were going to sit by quietly, while (once again) the worst among us would try to unjustifiably point the finger of these issues directly at mental health and mental illness.
Mass shootings have 1 singular thing in common, and we ALL know what that is.
Not all mass shooters have mental illness. Not everyone with mental illness is a mass shooter (or even violent.)
But enough description reading... Let's have a super awkward - HONEST conversation about it.
